A property assessment is made up of many tasks.  One important task, and one that many clients find essential, is sampling.  Frequently, this is an important way to determine contamination types, levels and causes within a property.  Moreover, this can assist in making decisions about whether, or not, there is a potential health risk within the property.

Meanwhile, if sampling is carried out incorrectly, not taken from the appropriate building materials, or with the incorrect sampling tools, mould and bacteria samples can provide inaccurate or inconclusive results.

The TESA Directive Mould and Bacteria Sampling Course aims to provide course attendees with a thorough understanding of the pros, cons and limitations of the various sampling methods used in the industry. Attendees will learn to take samples that will provide meaningful results and assist in decision making about mould and bacteria contamination in properties.

On the completion of the Mould and Bacteria Sampling Course each course attendee will have the opportunity to complete a written TESA Directive Assessment. On achieving more than 80% in the assessment, course attendees will attain the Mould and Bacteria Sampling Certification. 

To enrol into the TESA Directive Mould and Bacteria Sampling Course we recommend that course attendees have the foundation knowledge in regards to mould and bacteria and the basic tools used in assessing properties for associated contaminants.

We recommend the completion of the IICRC Water Restoration Technician Course and the IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician Course.
